Maugherow native and former All-Ireland Banjo Senior Champion, Kerrie is delighted to be teaching at this year’s South Sligo Summer School, after an absence of a few years. Having lived in Luton, UK, for a number of years, Kerrie returned to live in her beloved North Sligo and has since been actively involved in passing on the musical tradition through her teaching and playing and more recently in achieving one of her long time visions when she set up the Benbulben Comhaltas branch, a great success story and a reflection of the flourishing traditional music scene in all parts of County Sligo.
